On The Last Song: “It was the best time I’ve ever had in my life. And I feel like I really haven’t been the same since I left the set. While I was there, I didn’t have people in my face all the time trying to figure out who I am and what I’m doing.

I wasn’t trying to be anyone else but me. I’m just in shorts, a bathing suit top, running around having a blast. After work, we’d go and listen to bands play or we’d go out for crab legs and shrimp and sit on the lake. Then I would go on jet skis with Liam from early in the morning until dinnertime and play all day.”

Why is Liam so special to you? “I’ve never gotten along with someone so well. I was a little anxious about making this movie; I wanted everything to be perfect. To go on set and feel insecure was a totally new element for me. But he felt the same way. He admitted his insecurities, and it was really nice to have someone who understands me for once.”

Hard to admit when you’re feeling insecure? “It’s not hard for me to admit that I feel insecure, but sometimes you have to have someone who feels the same way to really realize that’s what you’re feeling. Liam says I have a ‘war helmet.’ You put that on when you’re insecure and you’re feeling afraid, you’re ready to battle because of something that you feel inside.”

Who helps you when you have a breakdown? “I really hate fixers-when people are like, ‘Tell me your problem! This is how we’re going to fix it!’ I would rather work through it, have someone talk me through it, let me calm down, and give me time to think emotionally about it. Then let’s really fix the problem. And I think that’s so important. That’s what I have with my closet friends, Demi [Lovato], Liam and Ashley Tisdale.”

On pressure to be perfect: “I think the hardest part for anyone in my position is that when you walk into a room you’ve never been in before, people immediately judge you. They say, ‘She’s a lot prettier than I thought,’ or ‘She’s not as pretty in person.’ They have a preconceived idea of you, and they examine you to see if you add up to what they thought. But Liam didn’t really know who I was! He didn’t know my acting or my music, and it was nice to know that he didn’t have a preconceived idea of me.”

Sounds like you changed this summer: “Yes, and Liam has been a big part of that. All you want is for one person to say, “You did a really good job today”. Or “You look really beautiful”, or “I was really moved by that.” You just want one person to make you feel good about something you’re doing.”

Having had his upper body fully covered with tattoos, Trace Cyrus still wants more as he tells OK! Magazine that he hopes to have matching body art with her siblings, including famous sister Miley Cyrus. “I already have a matching one with my dad, there’s no reason I wouldn’t do it with my siblings,” he gushes. “Someone you’re that close to, it’s something that means something to you obviously, so why wouldn’t you do it?”

Though so, Trace will have to wait for two more years before Miley reaches the age of consent in the U.S. to have her body inked. Tattoo aside, the vocalist of electropop band Metro Station only has good words for his famous sister. “She helps me with my girl problems, I talk to her about boys she’s talking to,” says Trace. “She has a smart head on her shoulders and anything that she decides is going to be the right decision.”

Most recently, Trace Cyrus tweeted a photo of himself getting new tattoos on his upper body. The body arts are that of Jesus crucified on the cross, mother Mary, and the famous hands that hold a rosary. And to OK! Magazine he enthuses about getting new body ink alongside his mother. “My mom’s going to get a ribcage tattoo that is definitely the biggest tattoo she’s ever gotten,” he says.

“I’m definitely proud of her for that. It will definitely be a little bit different of an experience for me. I’ve never gone to get a tattoo with my mom ever. She’s taken me to get a tattoo but we’ve never both gotten one at the same time.”

Miley Cyrus turned 17 years old on Monday, November 23, but she had a surprise birthday party last week in New York City. Family and friends joined her for the ’80s themed bash staged at Canal Room on Wednesday, November 18. Her “The Last Song” co-star and rumored boyfriend Liam Hemsworth was among the guests, People reports.

Inside the soiree, the birthday girl was treated to a performance by the cast of Broadway’s “Rock of Ages”. She after that blew out candles on a custom-designed cake created by Buddy Valastro, the star of TLC’s reality show “Cake Boss”. To match the theme of the party, Buddy topped off the vanilla cake with Madonna-inspired lace, a stage and accents in purple, which is Miley’s favorite color.

“They didn’t want a girly girl cake,” he revealed, adding that the cake “totally fit the theme. It was really awesome.” Concurring with him, Miley’s mother Leticia “Tish” Cyrus was quoted as stating her famous daughter “loves the ’80s”. “The fashion, the big hair – she thinks it’s so funky,” so claimed Tish who helped planning the surprise birthday party for Miley.

She may be the most famous teenager in the world, but there are still some people who have never heard of Miley Cyrus.

The Hannah Montana star — who celebrates her 17 birthday this week — and a friend visited Pop Burger on East 58th Street in New York City last week and placed their order.
Much to Miley’s displeasure, the counter manager asked for her name to mark the order, The New York Post reports.

“Are you serious? You don’t recognize me? I’m Miley Cyrus,” the actress snapped at the manager a PageSix spy dishes.

The counterman still had no clue who she was, ran her credit card with her name on it, and shrugged.

“That’s nice for you. Here is your order. Have a good day,” he added.

Teen pop sensation MILEY CYRUS dreams of following in the footsteps of her idol BEYONCE – because the R&B superstar is the “ultimate woman”.
Cyrus, best known for playing her Disney alter-ego Hannah Montana on the small screen and concert stage, has now launched a pop career in her own right.

And the ambitious 17 year old hopes her success will match that of the Halo hitmaker – and help her finally elude the tabloids that are more interested in her personal life.

She tells America’s Seventeen magazine, “I want to be like Beyonce. She is the ultimate woman. You look at her and you don’t think, I wonder what her personal life is like. You look at her and you go, That girl on the stage is a superstar. You don’t care about anything else; you only care about her music. So I would hope that would be me in the future.”

The ‘Hannah Montana’ star dressed as Julia’s prostitute character Vivian Ward from the movie ‘Pretty Woman’ at an 80s-themed celebration at New York’s Canal Room on Wednesday (18.11.09).

The singer-and-actress – who celebrates her birthday on Monday (23.11.09) – was particularly delighted with the evening’s entertainment, a performance from Constantine Maroulis and the cast of Broadway musical ‘Rock of Ages’.

A source told America’s New York Post newspaper: “Miley had seen the show two weeks ago and loved it, so her mom Tish brought the cast in to surprise her. But I’m not sure who was more into Constantine – Miley or her mother.

“Between songs from the musical, Miley grabbed Constantine and danced with him at the front of the stage and then Tish joined in.”

She won’t spell it out for us, but it’s pretty obvious that Miley Cyrus and Australian costar Liam Hemsworth have a special relationship that goes beyond mere friendship.

“I’ve never gotten along with someone so well,” the singer and actress, 16, tells Seventeen for its December/January issue, out Nov. 24. “I was a little anxious about making this movie; I wanted everything to be perfect. To go on set and feel insecure was a totally new element for me. But he felt the same way. He admitted his insecurities, and it was really nice to have someone who understands me for once.”

The two, who are starring together in The Last Song, have already been spotted making out off the set, but Cyrus, who was last linked to an on-off boyfriend known as Nick Jonas and model Justin Gaston, has refused to divulge the exact nature of her relationship with the 19-year-old actor.

But it’s clear Hemsworth has a lot of sway over Cyrus’ life, including encouraging her recent and sudden withdrawal from Twitter.

“It sucks when your personal life becomes public,” she says. “So I’m finding ways to make my personal and private life more of my life – which is one of the reasons why I deleted my Twitter. We’ve decided that any type of relationship that we have, we will always just keep it very D.L. First and foremost, we are best friends, so that’s what I tell people all the time.”

She also thanks Hemsworth for the notable changes she’s gone through in recent months, including several statements that have her tween fan base in a confused tizzy – such as letting go of Twitter, deriding popular music, and spurning the Twilight phenomenon.

“Liam has been a big part of that,” she says. “All you want is for one person to say, ‘You did a really good job today.’ Or ‘You look really beautiful,’ or ‘I was really moved by that.’ You just want one person to make you feel good about something you’re doing.”
