Miley Cyrus has thanked her fans and followers on Twitter, who donated to charity as a birthday present to the star for her 20th birthday.
The former Disney star turned 20 on Friday (November 23), and with her 10.5 million followers Miley tweeted appreciation to those that donated to her favourite charities instead of sending the star gifts.
Miley, who is engaged to ‘The Hunger Games’ actor Liam Hemsworth, learned that her fans had donated to the Starkey Hearing Foundation and the animal charity SPOT! Dog Rescue, and so sent a message of thanks for their generosity.
“Thank you to all my fans who donated to starkey hearing spot rescue dogs for my birthday. y’all topped it again best bday (sic) present by far!” she wrote.
Miley, who has had a big year with getting engaged and making a return to TV with a guest spot on Two And A Half Men, then posted a picture of herself in between giant birthday balloons with the number ’2′ and ’0′.
She wrote: “Great night last night. Thanks to everyone who celebrated with me.”
As previously reported, Miley also received a pig for her birthday. PETA (People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals) adopted a Nora the pig, on behalf of the birthday girl.
