On November 8, 2012, Gossip Cop addressed new reports that Miley Cyrus and Liam Hemsworth had set a June wedding date and were planning a Palm Springs wedding. The report came from X17 Online and indicated that the Hollywood couple set a wedding date for June 11, 2013 and would marry in the California city. The report followed previous statements by Cyrus that though she and Hemsworth planned to marry, a date hadn’t been set as she was focused on her career.
Have things changed for Cyrus and Hemsworth? Has her career settled to the point she’s ready to settle down? According to Gossip Cop, it hasn’t. While Cyrus and Hemsworth are still engaged, they have yet to set a date for their wedding.
On November 8, 2012, X17 exclusively reported that Miley Cyrus’ wedding plans have been revealed. The tabloid quoted an anonymous insider who stated, “Miley was having a low-key sushi dinner with a female friend, who brought up the wedding. She was talking about how much planning she still has to do, but she was saying how happy she is that they had nailed down a date and location. She seemed really excited and was talking about how she can’t wait to be Liam’s wife.”
Ironically, the X17 report followed Cyrus’ appearance on Ellen where she specifically stated she had not set a wedding date.
On November 7, 2012, Miley Cyrus appeared on Ellen and spoke about recent rumors that she is planning to have multiple weddings. Cyrus explained how important her wedding day would be and that she wants to ensure that every detail is based on her wants and desires.
Ellen asked Cyrus, “So when, will you get married soon?”
Cyrus replied, “I don’t know. I’m so focused on my record that I don’t want to be in between like touring and trying to plan all that. I didn’t really realize until I got a wedding planning book, what you have to decide on. Like, I don’t care what color the napkins are, I really don’t care. So, it’s a lot of weird detail.”
That explanation certainly doesn’t sound like someone who has set a date and is ready to begin wedding planning.
Cyrus also clarified she won’t be having multiple weddings.
“I’m not. I’m having one wedding. That’s my day and whatever I want on that day will be about me and that moment.”
Those looking for wedding bells in Cyrus’ near future may be disappointed. She clearly indicates there is much preparation needed before her special day and right now, she is focusing on her career.
