Miley Cyrus isn’t pulling any punches when it comes to her wedding day—she wants it to be perfect!
“This is the one day that it’s what I choose and every detail is things that I love,” the nearly 20-year-old star dished to Ellen DeGeneres, who took the liberty of sending a couple of strippers Miley’s way as an early bachelorette party present.
“There is some rumor going around that I’m having, like, 47 weddings,” Cyrus said in an interview airing tomorrow on Ellen. “I’m not. I’m having one wedding. That’s my day and whatever I want on that day will be about me and that moment. That look of love.”
Wait, Liam Hemsworth gets to be there too, right?
“That moment when he first gets to see me in my dress and everything all together,” Cyrus continued, complimenting DeGeneres on her own nuptials and how she was inspired by the looks that she and wife Portia de Rossi gave each other on their wedding day.
“It has to be perfect,” Cyrus insisted. “It has to be like a soundtrack in a movie. That’s the one day where that movie crap is real. That romance. That look is the time that you get that…I’ve been too probably 10, 20 weddings and I’ve seen that real look five, six times. It’s rare that people just stop to really look the person in the eye and know that this is your life together.
“It’s important and your wedding was perfect with that look,” she told DeGeneres. “That’s why I always fight for whoever wants to get married can get married. Because that look doesn’t come with gender.”
But though Cyrus envisions her nuptials a certain way, she doesn’t quite have the time right now to plan them.
“I’m, like, so focused on my record,” the “Decisions” singer said. “I kind of don’t want to be in between touring and trying to plan all that—because I didn’t really realize until I got a wedding planning book what you have to decide on.”
“Like,” she added, “I don’t care what color the napkins are, to be honest. I really don’t care. So, it’s a lot of weird detail. I don’t want to be doing too much and be crazy and forget about the moment of it all.”
