Miley Cyrus makes her love for her boyfriend, Liam Hemsworth, no secret, but she also has a lot of love for her dogs, Lila, Floyd, and her newest addition, Ziggy! While the media had been reported that the teen queen gave the pup to her guy as a birthday present, it does seem more than obvious that the dog is hers… or theirs at the very least.

“I’m in love with this girl,” Miley tweeted on Friday along with a photo of her holding Ziggy in the passenger’s seat of a car. She is just so in love with her dogs—she’s even said that she’d love to start her own organic dog line!

It is clear that Miley Cyrus is an animal lover. She is fortunate enough to be able to adopt dogs and give them a good home. She is so in love with all of her animals and they all get along really well which is also important. Something suggests that Ziggy won’t be her last adoption, do you agree?

Out in Los Angeles with Liam (February 3rd, 2012)

She may have grown up largely in the spotlight, but there was a time when Miley Cyrus wasn’t so well known.

And the 19-year-old singer today posted a picture of herself and her family where she couldn’t have been much more than four-years-old.

Sitting on a hay bale, the Cyrus clan look happy and relaxed as they pose for the snap, which includes four of the Cyrus siblings along with Miley’s parents Billy Ray and Tish.

In today’s Tweet, she pokes fun at her father’s pose, writing:

‘Awkward family photos. Look @billyraycyrus always giving face.’

Next to Billy Ray, a successful country singer in his own right, sits Trace Cyrus, Tish’s son from a previous relationship.

And the blonde youngster looks a far cry from the heavily tattooed black haired rock singer of today – he was recently a singer and guitarist for the now defunct rock band Metro Station.

Billy Ray is also father to a son, Christopher, from a previous relationship, who was born the same year as Miley, in 1992.

He and Tish are also parents to children Noah, now 11, and son Braison, now 17.

Imagine finding someone you love more than anything in the world, who you would risk your life for but couldn’t marry. And you couldn’t have that special day the way your friends do—you know, wear the ring on your finger and have it mean the same thing as everybody else. Just put yourself in that person’s shoes. It makes me feel sick to my stomach.

When I shared a picture of my tattoo on my Twitter page and said, “All LOVE is equal,” a lot of people mocked me—they said, “What happened to you? You used to be a Christian girl!” And I said, “Well, if you were a true Christian, you would have your facts straight. Christianity is about love.” The debate resulted in a lot of threats and hate mail to people who agreed and disagreed with me. At one point I had to say, “Dude, everyone lay off.” Can’t people have friendly debates about sensitive topics without it turning into unnecessary threats?

I believe every American should be allowed the same rights and civil liberties. Without legalized same-sex marriage, most of the time you cannot share the same health benefits, you are not considered next of kin and you are not granted the same securities as a heterosexual couple. How is this different than having someone sit in the back of the bus because of their skin color?

One day I read online about the head of Urban Outfitters donating to a presidential candidate who does not support equality for everyone. I was shocked and disappointed that a company with such diversity would exclude such a large group of people. I can no longer bring myself to shop there.

We all should be tolerant of one another and embrace our differences. My dad [country singer Billy Ray Cyrus], who is a real man’s man, lives on the farm and is as Southern and straight as they come. He loves my gay friends and even supports same-sex marriage. If my father can do it, anyone can.

This is America, the nation of dreams. We’re so proud of that. And yet certain people are excluded. It’s just not right.

No wonder Demi Moore ended up in such bad shape: She apparently had been hanging around with Miley Cyrus.

Nine days before the 49-year-old actress’ highly publicized breakdown and hospitalization, Moore was spotted partying with folks less than half her age at the 22nd birthday bash for Cyrus’ boyfriend, actor Liam Hemsworth, according to a new TMZ.com report.

All the attention after the Jan. 14 party at Los Angeles’ Club Icon up until now had been on the 19-year-old Cyrus, after the former Disney star posed in a suggestive manner with a cake shaped like a penis.

Sources told TMZ that Moore came to the party with her daughter Rumer and some young friends and drank Red Bull in the VIP section.

Moore suffered an apparent overdose on Jan. 23, and while investigators had have not officially confirmed reports the actress had been using whip-its at the time, there are drug references that were taken out of the 911 call tape that was released to news outlets.

“She can’t speak … she’s convulsing … we’re holding her down,” a friend can be heard saying in a 911 call, telling the operator that the actress had “smoked something” similar to incense.

Her trip to Club Icon seems to fit Moore’s pattern of purposely seeking out younger party companions in what gossip tabloids are labeling an obsession with her age and weight.

“She needed reassurance all the time that she was hot and sexy,” a source close to the actress recently told People. “As Demi got older, she convinced herself that she needed to stay young and skinny to remain attractive to her husband.”

Nineteen-year-old singer/actress Miley Cyrus has been something of a lightning rod for controversy of late, with several of her more questionable moments captured on tape, from smoking cigarettes and salvia and referring to herself as a “stoner” to posing with a provocative birthday cake and cursing at a fan who wanted a photo. Yet, all it takes to remind us that there is an incredibly talented young singer buried beneath all that media scrutiny is just four minutes. That’s the length of ‘You’re Gonna Make Me Lonesome When You Go,’ Miley’s country-tinged contribution to the four-CD ‘Chimes of Freedom: The Songs of Bob Dylan Honoring 50 Years of Amnesty International.’

The bare-bones video for the acoustically-rendered tune has garnered airplay on MTV and VH1, as well as GAC and CMT. Miley’s sweet yet mournful interpretation has even earned favorable comparisons to her godmother, Dolly Parton, who remains a staunch defender of the young star, telling Parade magazine, “I remember myself at her age. We’ve all been a bit too hard on her. I hope she holds it together because there’s a world of things she can do. She should keep an eye on things and make wise decisions.”

Dolly, who also guested on Disney’s ‘Hannah Montana,’ which starred Miley and her dad, actor and country singer Billy Ray Cyrus, is quick to defend Miley’s musical talents as well.

“She’s like a little Elvis!,” the country icon told The Boot. “The kids love her because she’s Hannah Montana, but what people don’t realize about her is she is such a fantastic singer and songwriter. She writes songs like she’s 40 years old! She’s really deep. I’m amazed at the talent that child has and the effect she has on people.”

Miley has certainly had an effect on YouTube viewers. Her official clip for ‘Lonesome,’ posted by Amnesty USA, has logged more than 2.2 million views. And while the young starlet may always have her detractors, the fact that she’s embraced a more country vibe with this track has earned such comments on the video site as “so much better as a country singer” and “that’s her genre right there.”

We heartily agree and we’re anxious to hear more in the same vein from the singer. Country fans are nothing if not forgiving, after all. Just ask Miley’s daddy. We’ve forgiven him for ‘Achy Breaky Heart’ (well, almost), so we can certainly look past his daughter’s youthful indiscretions, especially when we know what she’s capable of bringing to country music.

Miley is set to perform ‘You’re Gonna Make Me Lonesome When You Go,’ (originally featured on Dylan’s landmark 1975 album, ‘Blood on the Tracks’) on ‘The Ellen DeGeneres Show’ on Monday, Feb. 6, as the talk-show host pays tribute to the work of Amnesty International.

Billy Ray Cyrus is the latest celebrity to sign up with Amazon.com

The singer of “Achy Breaky Heart” and father and former co-star of Miley Cyrus has a memoir, “Hillbilly Heart,” coming in spring 2013.

Amazon.com, which has been aggressively expanding its publishing operation, announced Thursday that Cyrus would discuss with “great candor” everything from his early years to life as the parent of a teen superstar. Cyrus and his daughter starred together in the hit TV series “Hannah Montana.”

Others with Amazon deals include actress-director Penny Marshall and actor James Franco. Those books, however, will not be available everywhere. Barnes & Noble Inc. announced earlier this week that it would not stock releases from its rival retailer.
